Purpose
This Content Policy sets the standards Janadesh Labs aims to apply to public research, insights, articles, constituency information, campaign-related material created for clients, and content published through Janadesh Labs-controlled digital properties.
Facts, analysis and opinion
Factual claims should be distinguished from analysis, interpretation and opinion. Official election results should not be presented as evidence of motives that the official source does not establish. Analytical conclusions should identify material uncertainty where appropriate.
Source standards
For public electoral facts, preference should be given to the Election Commission of India, Chief Electoral Officers, government publications and other primary records where available. Secondary reporting may be used for context. Source dates and election cycles matter and should be retained when figures can change over time.
Surveys and polling
Published survey findings should be accompanied by sufficient methodology to understand the result, which may include fieldwork dates, target population, sample size, sampling approach, collection mode, weighting where relevant, question context and important limitations. Survey results should not be described as guaranteed election outcomes.
Corrections
Material factual errors should be corrected when identified and verified. Where a correction significantly changes the meaning of a published research conclusion, an update or correction note should be considered.
Political and campaign content
Client campaign material may advocate the client’s lawful political message, but it should not rely on knowingly false claims, impersonation, unlawful intimidation, bribery, hate content or prohibited discriminatory targeting. During election periods, relevant Election Commission directions, the Model Code of Conduct and applicable pre-certification or advertising requirements should be considered for the content and medium involved.
Respect, privacy and personal information
Public content should avoid publishing unnecessary private personal information. Allegations about private individuals should not be published merely because they circulate online. Sensitive or confidential client information should not be used in public content without authority.
Hate, violence and unlawful content
Janadesh Labs-controlled channels should not publish content that unlawfully incites violence, promotes hatred against protected communities, threatens voters, encourages election offences, or facilitates other unlawful conduct.
Copyright and attribution
Third-party text, photographs, graphics, logos, datasets and other protected works should be used only with an appropriate licence, permission, exception or lawful basis. Attribution does not by itself replace permission where permission is legally required.
AI-assisted and synthetic material
AI tools may assist drafting, translation, design ideation, research organisation or production workflows, but important factual claims should be reviewed before publication. Synthetic media should not be used to deceptively impersonate a real person or fabricate an event as authentic. Where disclosure is required by law, platform rules or the nature of the content, appropriate labelling should be used.
Client-supplied material
Clients are responsible for the rights and factual basis of material they provide. Janadesh Labs may request evidence, edits or removal where supplied content creates material legal, factual, privacy or platform-policy concerns.
Complaints and corrections
Requests concerning factual corrections, rights, attribution or potentially unlawful content may be sent to the Contact & Grievance Officer below with the page/post URL and a clear description of the concern.
